The 2010 Magnum unveiled!

The Dodge Magnum was the first car to use the Chrysler LX platform, shared by the Dodge Charger and the Chrysler 300. The assembly plant is located at Brampton, near Toronto, Ontario in Canada. The Dodge Magnum name had been used in the United States during the period 1978 to 1979 for the coupe model, for Dodge Dart in the country of Brazil, while Magnum was a K-car in the Mexico during the period 1983 to 1990. Sometime back, as per the latest information revealed from the sources of Magnum off-late, the company stated that they would end up their production of Magnum due to low sales of the vehicle. However, things look to be a little different as Dodge recently unveiled the brand new 2010 Magnum!

The Magnum hit the market for the first time in the year 1978 by Chrysler group. The model falls under the category of mid size vehicle. The vehicle was released as a predecessor to the Dodge Charger and the Dodge Intrepid and successor to the Dodge Mirada. The model was built by several companies at various periods. Chrysler produced the model during the year 1978 to 1979, Daimler Chrysler manufactured during the period 2005 to 2007 and later by Chrysler LLC from the year 2008. The name Dodge Magnum has been used on several different automobiles. The latest is rear wheel drive station wagon, which was released in the year 2004 as the model vehicle for the year 2005.
The model released in the year 1978 was a two door coupe built based on the B- body platform.

The vehicle was offered with 3 types of engines namely, 318 cu in LA V8, 400 B cu in and the 360 cu in LA V8. The vehicle had the transmission of 3- speed automatic. The wheel base of the vehicle was 2921 mm and the vehicle was related to the Chrysler 300, Dodge Monaco, Chrysler Cordoba, Dodge Charger and the Plymouth Fury. The Dodge Dart produced in the year 1981 in the country of Brazil was sold as the Magnum including the features 318 in V8 engine and the front fascia made up of fiber glass that included 4 head lights and the rear end looks similar to that of Dart produced in America.

• Transmission- 4 and 5-speed automatic
• Wheel base- 3048 mm

The Magnum was released in Mexico under the name of K- car Magnum was a full size station wagon model built on the platform of Chrysler LX platform. The vehicle had the front engine with the four / rear wheel drive. The vehicle offered four types of engines namely the 2.7 L V6 EER, 3.5 L V6 EGJ, 5.7L HEMI V8 and the 6.1 L HEMI V8 and the vehicle had the transmission of both the 4-speed and 5-speed automatic. The vehicle had the wheel base of 3048 mm. The length, width and the height of the vehicle were 5022mm, 1882 mm and the 1481 mm respectively.

The 2010 Magnum will be a strong competitor to the likes of 2010 Mercedes Benz E-class, Chrysler 300, 2010 Dodge Charger and the Dodge Challenger. The vehicle was designed by Freeman Thomas and the Ralph Gilles.
