MINI RELEASE ROAD VERSION REVEIWS

You’ve probably heard that Mini is preparing to get into the WRC ( World Rally Championship ). Along with this news, we have an even better rumor. The Mini WRC might also get into the production line, just like the Subaru Impreza WRXand Mitsubishi Evo X.

The Mini WRC is based on the Mini Countryman, which is a production crossover. Rumors also say that the Mini WRC is prepared to hit the showrooms, so we’ll probably take a look at it soon.

Hopefully the rumors are true and we’ll be able to get our hands on the nestMini WRC, which is a great car, I must say. Mini does have some models with more horse power and a bit sportive, but none of them can be compared with this one, so who’s both a Mini fan and loves power will definitely love this car.

Personally I’m really curious to see what they’re up to and would love to take a test drivewith it, because I’ve always had a passion for Minis. Rest assured that we’ll let you know once we find out more details about the new Mini WRC.

2011 HOT JEEP REVIEWS

Jeep is set to launch a B segment SUV in 2013. The model will borrow the design language of Wrangler and apply it on a Fiat B segment platform.

The Jeep line-up will extend in 2013, when it will also include a subcompact car. The model will be an SUV, which will be underpinned by a platform of the Fiat Group. Rumor has it that the platform will be the one of Fiat Grand Punto, but this information was not confirmed yet by the officials of the Fiat – Chrylseralliance. The model will feature Fiat JTD engines, the 1.3-liter and 1.6-liter units, next to 1.4-liter MultiAir engines. The entry-level version will only featurefront-wheel drive, with the flagship will have four wheel drive.

The new Jeep model will have a look reminiscent of Wrangler and wants to attack the segment opened by Nissan Juke. Regarding the optionals, the model will offer premiummaterials and equipment, for attracting young customers. Jeep officials are delighted by the first sketches of the next model and believe that the next B segment SUV will be a very special model.

Regarding the design of the new model, a Jeep official said that it will have a Wrangler-inspired front grille. Of course, the size will be adapted to the dimensions of the smallest model of Jeep line-up.

Once in a blue moon in the automotive industry an unique vehicle comes to play. Such vehicle is 2500SF roadster from Dutch Heynsdyk. The Dutch have always had a penchant for the bizarre and unorthodox. From their unique 'coffee shops', to their individualist sense of style the people of Holland have always liked to go their own way. And that applies to car design as well. Spyker supercars are from Holland, and whether you love them or hate them, they really are very different in style to any other vehicle on the road.

A small independent builder in Eindhoven has given further weight to the argument by introducing this, the Heynsdyk 2500SF. Designed and engineered by Ronald Heijnsdijk, the car is based on the Porsche 944 platform and is essentially a kit car which can be ordered in component or fully finished form. However instead of being some sort of generic copy of another the vehicle, the 2500SF has a completely original style which is a mixture of hits and misses.

This is the Heynsdyk 2500SF from Holland: a bespoke body placed over the engine, electronics, and drivetrain of a Porsche 944. The design process took years to complete, but the decision to base the car on the 944 was made quickly. 100% galvanized, reliable and readily available. The substantially lighter body, in galvanized steel, takes weight down to 900 kilograms (1,980 pounds) while maintaining 50/50 weight distribution. There are six engine choices, from a basic 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 163 horsepower, to a 2.5-liter four-pot S-motor with a turbo. That one will get you 250 horsepower, and from 0 to 60 in six seconds. Top speed is limited to 250 kilometers per hour (155 miles per hour). The transmission is handled by a 5 speed manual which sends the power to the rear wheels.

The front angle is by far and away the worst area of the vehicle aesthetically. Here a random and mismatched assortment of lights and grilles come together to form a unique but far from pretty face. In profile things start to get better, and the proportions of the car are generally quite pleasing. The car shows off its best side when viewed from the rear. The well thought out mix of nicely sculpted roll bars, beefed up wheel arches, neat taillights and sloping decklid come together very well indeed.

You can buy the car as a kit or a finished product, and prices start at €14,750 ($20,798 U.S.) for the kit, or €36,995 ($52,158 U.S.) for a ready runner. Like its countrymate Spyker, what the car might lack in beauty it makes up for in unique and arresting looks.

New Scion Vehicles Leaked a Bit Early…?

I guess this won’t be such a surprise as I found leaked images of the new Scion xD and xB on Car and Driver while I was surfing the automotive forums. Way to spoil the surprise, I guess Car and Drivercan’t really be trusted after all. Anyways, back to the Scions. The new xD will replace the xA model. Styling on both of these new vehicles are a bit controversial perhaps, but you can’t argue with the futuristic characteristics hidden behind the designs. The xD will receive the Toyota Matrix/Corolla engine, which boasts 128-hp and is available with either a 4-speed or 5-speed automatic transmission. The xB, which looks to be borrow design from the Urban Cruiser concept Toyota released, will be more powerful, sharing the 158-horsepower 4-cylinder engine from the Scion tC. But yeah, will these vehicles really save Scion after they announced dropping sales in previous years? We’ll see. My guess is that they probably won’t climb back up.

Since the new Pontiac G8, which is based off the European Holden Commodore SS-V, will be introduced tomorrow at the Chicago Auto Show, I thought it would be nice to add some wallpapers to the database. And for information purposes, the new G8 will be packed with a 6.0L V8 with 362 horsepowers. If you like it, the new G8 will arrive in showrooms by early 2008. Those 20-inch wheels look lovely as well
