NissanClub is hosting our very first Nissan of the YEAR

Last week Nissan sent out a teaser image of the 2010 Altima, playing the marketing game and trying to pump up interest before the new mid-cycle redesign was fully unveiled.

Between then and now the company also had to issue a recall notice. Unfortunately, in the process of sending out the recall, one image of the 2010 Altima, fully revealed, was shipped out, spoiling Nissan’s plans. Or perhaps, its an extremely brave marketing tactic aimed at moving interest away from the recall notice – but we doubt it.

Above is a photo of the 2010 Altima, with minor changes including a new grille, new headlights and a more sculpted body with a strong line running along the side of the car. We can’t say its much of a change (see 2009 Altima below), but we do like the new split-spoke five-spoke wheels.

As for the recall (No. 09V358000) it affects 26,398 Nissan Maximas and Altimas, which have strut housing that could crack causing damage to the suspension and possibly cause an accident. Nissan is required to notify all owners by law, including those who purchase one of the new 2010 Altimas, even though very few 2010 models got the problem parts. Nissan has even said that the part was replaced in all 2010 Altimas before they left the factory.

Wonderful.. the recall is for a strut housing that could crack and cause an accident. Hmmm I voided my warranty by installing Eibachs since nismo doesnt make a suspension..

Nissan Quest 2011
Nissan has cast doubt on the future of its Quest  minivan and Inifiniti QX56 luxury SUV with its recently announced plans to make a major move into the work truck market. The next-generation Infiniti Q56 is expected to move further up-market to compete with the Range Rover and Lexus LX.Expect a Nissan commercial van to more closely resemble a Dodge Sprinter than the Ford Econoline or GM Express/Savana twins.Nissan will build a new, fuel-efficient, sub-compact car (B-Car) for Chrysler to sell in North America, Europe and other global markets in 2010.The as-yet unnamed car will be based on a Chrysler concept and design (the Hornet?) and built at Nissan's Oppama Plant in Japan. In return, Chrysler will produce a full-size pickup for Nissan, based on a unique Nissan design, in Chrysler's Saltillo (Mexico) assembly plant.

Nissan Qazana

Nissan Qazana

Nissan Qazana
Nissan Qazana is  4060mm in length, 1780 in wide, and 1570mm in tall, Nissan Qazana concept also has a wheelbase of 2530mm. issan Qazana would be ideally suited to the urban environment. Yet its advanced specification and energetic styling suggest an ability that goes far beyond the city walls. At the same time, rounded elements – notably the wheel arches and bonnet – evoke a friendly ambiance and provide a link with existing Nissan Crossovers. Indeed, Qazana has the signature Crossover design detail in the rising window line at the rear, also found on Murano and Qashqai. The profile is dominated by the prominent wheel arches and by the body’s high waistline, which combine to give an impression of strength and which contrast vividly with the slim side windows. The graphite coloured spats contrast vividly with the bold exterior colour, a unique shade called White Titanium, and the strikingly styled 20 inch black chrome alloy wheels. A one-piece acrylic moulding, no cooling air can pass through the grille. Instead, the lower portion of the bumper, finished in a contrasting graphite colour, is dominated by a number of large holes for air to reach the radiator. See through acrylic mouldings are also used for the door mirrors.

Nissan 350Z

Nissan 350Z

The Nissan 350Z one of the best sports cars under 30 grand and said, "This is a true sports coupe." I'd have to agree, seeing as though the 350Z's VQ engine received the 2007 Ward's 10 Best Engines Award. And due to the fact that I admittedly have a soft spot for sports cars with the Z badge.
